Ball's Pyramid Volcano in Australia

Ball's Pyramid is a volcano that formed 7 million years ago. It is 20 kilometres far from Lord Howe Island in the Pacific Ocean.Both this pyramid and Lord Howe Island were discovered by Lieutenant Henry Lidgbird Ball, who is a  a geologist at the New South Wales Department of Mines. The pyramid was named after Lieutenant Henry Lidgbird Ball, who discovered it in 1788.
